I founded the Grammy’s Producers and Engineers Wing. And I’m current (and past) governor of the L.A. chapter of the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences.

I’m also a founding member of the META Alliance, a group of audio industry experts dedicated to the implementation of high-quality standards in music recording and delivery.

And I regularly turn up as a moderator or panelist at industry conferences like NAMM and international music festivals.

The Grammy In The Schools and Grammy Camp programs are both great and I try to work with them regularly when not in the studio.

I’m a frequent guest lecturer for recording programs at colleges and universities including Berklee College of Music (which offers an Ed Cherney scholarship), the USC Thorton School of MusicCitrus College and CalArts.

And I’m on the Board of Directors at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul Minnesota.
