Three-outta-six ain’t bad. (That’s three Grammy wins out of six nominations.) One Best Engineered Album win — for Bonnie Raitt’s “Longing In Their Hearts” — came in a year that I recorded and mixed three of the five albums nominated in the category. Which might be a record (or three).
Stands for Technical Excellence and Creativity and I’ve won five. For Recording/Mixing Engineer. (Been nominated for another five or six.) TEC Awards are awarded by the National Association of Music Merchants aka NAMM. I was inducted into TEC Hall of Fame in 2015.
FIVE TEC AWARDS, HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE
Won my first Emmy in 2015 for HBO’s “Bessie” starring Queen Latifah. (I’ve received three previous nominations for Bonnie Raitt’s “Road Tested” broadcast, The Rolling Stones’ “Live From Madison Square Garden” on HBO, and Eric Clapton’s “2004 Crossroads Guitar Festival.”)
ONE EMMY (FOUR NOMINATIONS)
Some people call me Long Game. (But enough about Rose Mann-Cherney.) I prefer Mr. Sunday Afternoon. My golf game speaks for itself, though on any given day I’m never 100% sure in what language that will be.
